1 chicken cut into 10 pieces
A little salt and turmeric powder
Oil for frying
3 Tbsp tomato puree
3 tsp honey
3 tsp chilli paste
3 tsp chilli sauce
3 tsp oyster sauce
1 large onion
1cm fresh turmeric
5 cloves garlic
2 cubes chicken stock
120ml F&N Evaporated Milk
60ml cooking oil
Sugar and salt to taste
Finely sliced spring onions, grated carrots and parsley sprigs
- Rub salt and turmeric powder into chicken. Leave to marinate for 30 minutes.
- Heat a little oil and fry chicken pieces until slightly crispy.
- In another wok, heat 60ml of oil and sauté ground ingredients until fragrant.
- Add in combined gravy ingredients and stir until everything is cooked through and aromatic.
- Pour in F&N Evaporated Milk and bring to a boil. Then add chicken, followed by sugar and salt.
- Continue stirring until evenly mixed. Remove from heat and serve.
